Wednesday 27th
February
We went on a trip to the museum. I lost interest easily
as the outing had nothing to do with my concept. It was useful for my main
knowledge but it is not compatible with the evolution of Hip-Hop. I do
understand because at the time I was quite unsure of what to base my topic on
so I can't blame the teachers and organizers for trying to give us an idea.
Monday 11th March 2019
I finished my proposal but I decided to improve it if I thought it wasn't up to scratch. I found it straight forward and now I have it ready for the due date. I made sure that I met all the requirements (e.g. the number of words requested).

Tuesday 12th - Wednesday 13th March
Seeing the fact that I finished my proposal it was an appropriate
time to now start my Pecha kucha 20 slide PowerPoint. Honestly, it is
a challenge but there's nothing I can do then to face it. I am currently enjoying
it so far, my aim is to make the PowerPoint spontaneous and also to make it
different. This could consist of my theme example as I use different
primary and secondary colours. Must make sure that I do not include too much text as it will kill the whole purpose for the presentation. I just had to adapt and make everything brief so that It is reasonable for my 20 minute slot.
Thursday 14th March
I was mostly looking at other magazines that are compatible with
my future one. I am trying to gather ideas and see what will be suitable for my
design. As a result, purchasing a magazine online is my only solution seeing there are non online to view.
Friday 15th March
I worked on my Pecha kucha. I was quite happy today as I did
complete 10 slides. I have 10 more to do. I am confident that i can finish it
within the due date. After I finish that I will then start my magazine.
Friday 22nd March
This week was based on my presentation. Next week, I am
going to finalise my primary and secondary research. Today I
finally finished my presentation which I will produce on
Wednesday 27th March. I am confident with the information I do have on
it. I did get inspiration from a few people who did their own
presentations. I particularly liked my peers one. His name is Harry.
He showed a clear understating and included the right information. I
was impressed how he had a clear articulated tone of voice with his speech.
Also how included various imagery.
Tuesday 26th - Wednesday 27th March
My presentation is set for Wednesday. I was nervous at a
stage when trying to rehearse it. I am in some way disappointed due to the fact
I should have spent more time when rehearsing. I wanted to challenge myself by just completing it raw. What I mean by raw; many people used scripts to help them. It's nothing bad but just a guide which sets an advantage I spent approximately only 10 minutes rehearsing. When i did present my topic I did feel it went well but I could have done better. I think I showed a clear understanding of what I was doing but sometimes I was baffled. For example when I was on my 'Distribution' page. I was quite confused, which then caused me to be speechless for some time. If I was given a chance to redo it, I definitely would. As a result, of my presentation, I received genuine feedback from my peers (They were viewing me). The feedback did make sense in my honest opinion. Down below is a picture just verifying the validity.
On of my peers said I explained my topic very clearly which i agreed with in some aspects. They also added that seeing the fact I like music so much, this would make sense which is a benefit as I have a better chance of passing the project so I would consider that as an advantage.
On the other hand, my peers also told me to project my voice louder as people at the back could not really hear what I was saying. My voice is loud so to hear this shows I was nervous in some form. They also said i should make sure to study every slide so I don't get stuck. I see this feedback as a positive light.

In this lesson i just decided to gather my primary research information. I am going to produce a short questionnaire trying to see how time has effected my topic which is 'The evolution of HIP-HOP. By next week they will be created and i will hand them out to random people so that they can share their views. I must make sure i produce fair information to support my research.

I created my questionnaire and I carried it out to various members of my class. It was approximately 13 people I asked. I did think about my results though because i had a discussion with one of my teachers. As a result of this it would have made more sense to ask other people (not only people from my class). Nothing is obviously wrong; I probably would have made the questionnaire interesting.

Wednesday 8th May - Friday 10th May 2019
I focused more on my research within this period then decided at the end that I was going to finally start testing and planning my layouts for my magazine. Starting the magazine concept did have me lost but I kind of know what I have to do again. I am getting close to my deadline so I am planning to just spend one whole day just to tweak up my research then immediately start my design on In Design. I hope my plans will be fulfilled this time in the production.
Wednesday 15th May 2019
Today, I created my 'FLAT PLAN'. It just consists of how I am actually going to construct my production. I took a picture to prove my evidence and then I pasted into my "Skills develop & Experimentation page." Also, I improved my plan due to the fact I thought that it did not include enough information. My aim was just to fill everything out.
Friday 17th May 2019
I created my front cover page for my product. As you can see on the left, I made sure I included all three colours. Red, black and white. I like these colours as they give a clear representation of my subject also is does link to any copy of an 'XXL' magazine. The layout, font and style portrays an retro look which will catch the audiences eyes. I actually enjoyed created this element of my production and hopefully I can imply the same sort of content for my other magazine pages. I also like the fact that I included my own images and not anyone else's. There is a pure feel when it is yours to claim and also especially when everything goes in sync.

I have officially finished the cover of my production. I know what I want to include for the rest of the pages., I am happy with my progress. I found some time out of lesson to also complete some research as i was not satisfied with its current status.

I have finished my magazine but now I must just toch up my blog especially my Evaluation.

I finished my evaluation today. I am satisfied with as included everything i wanted to. Next I just want to still touch up my blog due to the fact I know I can complete it to the best of my ability.

I received feedback from my teacher. It contained information about me updating my bibliography. I completed and I made sure I included Harvard referencing. Also I completely switched up my magazine production as before it didn't fulfill it previously to the best of my ability. I am honestly so glad with what I have now. For example I included my own advertisement in my magazine. When finally finishing my magazine I made sure that I followed the margins to make everything level and also to use my own images.
