Section 1: Project Rationale (approx. 100 words)
Since starting the course in September, What do you know now, and what does it mean to you, (compared with what you knew and could do before you started the course). How does what you know now influence your choice of pathway and your project proposal.
At the start of the course I was quite anxious because I had to adapt to new skills like Photoshop, InDesign etc. I have used Dreamweaver before but I now see that it has changed remarkably. It was not the same two years ago. Linking to what I said earlier, All these software’s are now easier to use as from the start because I was a rookie. Photoshop will play a big part in my career with music and media. Still not the best at it but I am learning; eventually I’ll be an expert.  I am grateful for the teachers getting me where I am today.  It means a lot to be in this level 3 course and I have now realised not to take this course as a joke. People take this serious and I should too. That consists of handing in deadlines on the due date because I always hand it late.
Section 2 Project Concept: (approx. 200 words)
Clearly explain the concept and aims of your project and the context, research and ideas that will support its development. What are the historical, economic, social, mass media, cultural, political influences?  What is it you want to communicate and who is your audience? What access might you need to workshops and specialist equipment? how will you use independent study?
The title of my project is ‘The evolution of HIP HOP’
My aim is of my project is to show how time has changed in the music genre, HIP HOP through the years. I was thinking of including a timeline to add to my concept.  I have generated research but it is not quite strong. Currently, I am still trying to improve day by day. I’d say the political situation is indeed involved HIP HOP and as a result it has corrupted the stem of it. My example could link to the late ‘Tupac Amur Shakur’ as his life ended short due to bang welfare and movement politics. Simile, a famous rap group named ‘NWA’ had countless ongoing problems with the police; governments and they were seen as a threat to them.  I would assign him as my role model due to the fact, he stood for what is right but people didn’t see it in that way and instead portrayed him as felony. I want to create a detailed magazine explaining the culture linked to time. My audience would be linked to full grown adults. Precisely from 40 and older because HIP HOP did originate in the late 70’s, however it will then later link to teenagers in today’s generation as those times have changed.
Section 3 Evaluation and Reflection: (AppI will make sure I include a reflective approx. 50 words)
Explain how you will reflect on, and evaluate your work, as both an on-going activity and at the conclusion of the project. You should describe how you intend to record your decision making and how you will document changes to your ideas as work progresses.  The evaluation should be referred back to your aims. It must be reflective (‘why? Because?’) and analytical rather than a description of actions completed.
I will make sure I include a reflective log so I can record what I have done daily or weekly. I hope that I am able to complete my objective by creating my magazine to the best of my ability and too the style I like. I say this because previous projects I don’t have enough time to construct my designs or sometimes I don’t understand how to complete an element within the software to produce my project. My aim is to include a detailed magazine giving valid information on my chosen topic.
Section 4: Research Sources and Bibliography  (Harvard format)
Record the initial research sources, both primary and secondary, that you intend to use.  Your sources of research should be as wide as possible, including libraries, museums, galleries, journalism, articles, media, galleries, books, film/video, magazines, TV/radio programmes, web sites etc.
Within my topic I would like to include questionnaires. I feel honest opinions will be shared especially If I do not know them personally. Asking someone you know would not be considered as fair evidence. My topic does base around Film/Radio and magazines.

Pecha Kucha

These are some slides from my Peta Kucha.

This is my full Peta Kucha presentation. I embedded the video as it will easier to view. Overall, I do think my presentation went well as I was very confident and was very clear. I got some feedback saying that I should elaborate on points in enough depth but I disagree in a way due to the fact, I had only 20 seconds for each slide so it had to be short and snappy
